Arte della Seta (1248) was originally called Arte di Por Santa Maria because of its proximity to the city gate of the same name. With the increase in the production of fabrics and the significant expansion of trade, the association was renamed Arte della Seta. Its members made sumptuous silk curtains woven with gold and silver threads.

As the brand name suggests, the company goes back to 1561 when it started as a medieval pharmacy. Later on, Farmacia SS. Annunziata 1561 developed into a modern pharmacy and finally became a niche perfumery and cosmetics brand.

Family traditions

Since 1970 the company belongs to Azzerlini family. The father and the daughter work with commerce and marketing, and the son helps the mother to take care of the chemical and the technical part of the business.
